Wow...One year later....

For those who didn't know, but I'm sure all of you do know, I am in Baltimore, MD now.  So I'm no longer in the middle of no where.  Now, I'm just in one of America's most violent cities.  I live in a suburb, thank goodness!

Let's see...recap on the past year.  I lived in a hotel for a month while I was relocating from WV.  If that happens to anyone, just don't be there when the cleaning people are there

Uh...I spent Thanksgiving in Baltimore.  A few of my co-workers invited me to their families gathering, however it was just an odd moment to be eating with someone else's family.

I did go home for Christmas.  It was such a nice time...don't remember many details.

In January, I broke up with Todd.  It just wasn't meant to be.  I didn't see a future with him, so I had to end it.  I know, a bunch of you were disappointed.  Everyone thought I would be the first one to get married.  HAHAHAHAHA...if they only knew....

Uh...let's see...Feb, March...not much went on.

At the end of April, I went to Tokyo to visit my bro.  Awesome time.  I still haven't uploaded pictures thanks to my laziness   Deal with it...

Then I came home, worked for a day, then the following day, got my wisdom teeth extracted.  Tons of fun for me.  I woke up 5 minutes before they were finished b/c they had problems with my left side b/c it was impacted.  I bled for 10 hours.  Pain killers made me hurl.  Uh, lets see...when I went back a week later, my oral surgeon told me I was a chipmunk b/c I was hording food in the open wounds...like it was my fault.  I ate soft foods for a week...talk about the highlight of my life.  Then during healing, I turned 24.  Oh...how depressing.

June....pretty boring...Oh, started job hunting.  Dying to get out of Bmore.

July...I went home for a few days.  Enjoyed everyone's company.  July 27 was my ONE year in Baltimore....ahhhh

Oh, at the end of July, I went to the ocean on this side of the states for the first time!!!!  Ocean City, MD...not bad.  I got in the ocean....still prefer pool water.  Enough said.

August...pretty uneventful.  I am going to have a roommate.  Whoo hoo.  Male roommate.  PLATONIC....so don't get any ideas.  2 separate bedrooms with our OWN bathrooms that are located IN our rooms.  So I don't want to hear anything.  It's purely a cost saving idea.  It would cost me over 1,000 to live on my own.  I'm only paying like 900 or so now.  So hopefully I will save some money living with someone. 

What else is of great news to the group....oh, I'm sorry I'm not near...I went through my closet again.  Lots and lots of stuff is getting pitched.  Trust me, IT HURTS.  At least $3,500 worth of stuff.  IT KILLS me...wahhhhhhhhhhh....

I am EXHAUSTED.  In 5 days, I put in 46 hours at work.  Physical labor to get the floor set for back to school.  What a PAIN.  I've worked 5 days in a row and 4 more to go before I get my ONE DAY off which is Thursday.  I don't know if my body is going to make it through this!

My poor apt needs cleaned.  It's been neglected since I've been working all the time.  Maids...is ANYONE a maid out there?  I NEED YOU.

Happy belated 4th of July everyone!  Well I went to Charleston's fireworks.  THEY WERE AWFUL!  I think suburb fireworks beat WV's!  First off, they had a country singer, Patty Loveless, come and sing.  I have NO CLUE who she was.  But I guess she is popular.  Then, the fireworks started LATE.  Not by a little bit, but by A LOT!  So when they finially went off, some went astray.  They aimed into the river, not just one, but quite a few.  There was one that actually went straight for the street.  There were moments when NO fireworks were going off.  Oh did I mention that AT LEAST half of the fireworks didn't go beyond the bridge of the river.  SO if there was a building obstructing the view, you were screwed.  I was actually standing where it was visible, thank goodness and away from harm!  The finale, was maybe 15 seconds!  So needless to say, I would NEVER go nor recommend it!

I went to the Mountain State Arts and Crafts festival today.  It was actually worth going to.  It was about 25 minute drive to get there.  There were 200 artisans.  Lots of neat stuff.  I got to see glass blowing, that was cool.  I even bought homemade wheat bread,  It's yummy :o)  Unfortunately,  I got sun burnt on my shoulders and back :o(   I also didn't get to see all the artisans b/c it was getting TOO hot.  I could only imagine what my skin would look like if I did stay longer...

Well I got home at 8am this morning from WORK.  I was up for 22 hours yesterday.  I worked from 9pm-7:45am.  We set the young men's collection for back to school.  It looks DAMN good right now, that's all I have to say and if anyone ruins it, I'm kicking BUTT.  I don't care if they are a paying customer!

My week has been pretty uneventful.  Nothing really excited, sorry!

1:15AM, thank goodness I have tomorrow off :o)  I was on the phone until midnight with my cousin from CA who I haven't talked to in a REALLY long time.  I was keeping her awake while she was driving to her parents.  I got the update on my cousins and etc. so that was nice.

I really don't know what to do with my day off!  Since I've cleaned already, I don't know what to do.  I do need to do dishes but that's about it.

I went out last night and saw Italian Job.  I went ALL by myself.  It's not as depressing as it sounds :o)   It was a good movie.  However I want a mini cooper now.  I just want a little cute car to drive fast in.  No wonder I like z3s :o)

Well I am no longer working at the men's department, I am now in charge of women's accessories.  This includes, handbags, hoisery, cosmetics, bras, undies and sleepwear.  I'm not a dept manager, but this is my area of responsibility from now on and until I leave.  I won't become a dept manager until after I get transferred and who knows when that will happen :o)

Well it's almost 1:55am...night night
